Holding onto NBA legends too long?

i understand if you love basketball you got to love the history too, and i do... but do you think guys like bob cousey, jerry west, oscar robertson, wilt, russell... and so on would really be able to hang in todays games. I think wilt would be killing post players for sure and b. russell would be a dynamic defensive player... but would they still put up the mind boggling numbers that they did in their day? I'm not so sure. i'll put this out there... cousey would get whooped hard in today's game.
