How can I make a non-arg. motion for judgement and motion for payment arguable? I'm in Ct.?

I'm being sued for a debt to Capitol One. I want to settle with them, and am working with credit solutions to handle my debts, but I haven't been in front of a judge yet. It's on the short calendar for Monday. What can I do?
