Do all dogs have to be pedigree for them to have puppies?

just to correct you every dog has a pedigree, every human has a pedigree. It is simply who your parents are, your grandparents and so on. The correct word you should use is a purebred dog. It is a myth that mutts are healthier than purebreds. some are, some aren't. a mutt can inherit bad genes from the different breeds that are in his makeup. Breeders of purebred dogs care more about the health of the dogs they breed and the pups they prodice. Ones who purposely breed mutts or allow their dogs to raom and get bred at random don't really know or care what the health of their pups will be. Most of the time they do not even have a clue what their female was bred to.
